Responsible for driving advisory growth in Iberia and the Americas with professionalism and diligence, Carlos Alejandre is a renewables specialist focused on developing strategies and solutions that accelerate the drive to net zero.
Carlos has 20 years’ global experience in low-carbon energy solutions, leading business development initiatives in Spain, Colombia, México, Argentina, Panamá and Japan.
Previous companies include SunEdison, Trina Solar and Yingli Solar, for whom he developed a reputation for winning international deals, operating with integrity and being a positive force for colleagues by putting excellence at the centre of his leadership philosophy.
With a Master’s degree in solar technology, Carlos combines passion and knowledge for renewables with expertise in market research, project financing, strategic negotiations, market penetration and bid management.
Carlos believes we’re always stronger together. As a leader, he values teamwork, honesty, transparency, open-mindedness and respect above all else.
His major achievements at Enzen include opening new markets in the Americas, securing opportunities with TPG, Atlantica, Sacyr and CNE, and developing innovative hybrid, wind, PV and BESS projects.
Carlos is also passionate about technology and its potential for creating connections with the world around us. Continually striving for higher standards of quality, he is a studious learner of evolving market trends and a strong advocate for how business can improve the wellbeing of communities by addressing vital environmental and social challenges.
Outside of work, he loves spending time with family and friends, cooking for everyone (especially barbecues), mountaineering and cycling, reading good history books and enjoying music from the 80s and 90s.
