Possessing strong business acumen and market intelligence, Dr. Uma Rajarathnam is a clean energy specialist with three decades of experience in renewable energy, clean air, climate research, energy efficiency and sustainable development.

Leading energy transition advisory for the Enzen Group, she provides a holistic view grounded in a trans-disciplinary and cross cultural approach that balances environmental, economic and social dimensions, supported by hands-on experience.

Uma is well known for her deep domain knowledge and ability to develop and foster partnerships with fellow innovators in the net zero space.

As well as having deep technical knowledge, rich field experience and international exposure, Uma has worked for the United Nations and contributed to evidence-based policy-making designed to accelerate the drive to net zero.

She established the Clean Energy and Environment business unit at Enzen and delivered many prestigious projects in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, clean air and climate change. She is also a highly-respected a thought leader who has published several research papers and articles, sharing her knowledge at various international conferences and seminars.

Previously, Uma worked as a clean air and energy specialist at the Energy and Resources Institute. She has also worked with the World Health Organisation's South East Asia Regional Office as a regional advisor for Air Quality, Environment and Chemical Safety.

Uma holds a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences and a PhD from IIT Delhi in Energy and Environment studies. She is also an alumnus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business in the USA and the Said Business School in Oxford.

Uma is passionate about solving energy and environmental issues, drawing inspiration and motivation from her sons and loving husband. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, listening to music and gardening.
