Enzen has been appointed to deploy an innovative IP data solution that will create a smarter, more intelligent grid system in the north of India.
The deal with a large power utility will establish an advanced data acquisition platform state-wide, enabling the customer to capture, manage, monitor and control its smart metering data.
The first phase of the deal includes five million devices over eight years, with a potential second phase of a further five million devices. The outcome will be enhanced energy management, superior energy efficiency and greater transparency for consumers.
Enzen’s solution is an algorithm-driven, future-ready and hyper-scalable data acquisition, management and analytics IP which can process trillions of data transactions. The contract is the large single deal in terms of nodes awarded to anyone in India and will enable the utility to handle three petabytes of data every year.
Following on from a similar deal signed for an electricity network in southern India, this latest collaboration is further evidence Enzen is leading the way in transforming the country’s power grids through deep domain knowledge and innovation.
