Cyclone Fani has affected eleven coastal districts of Odisha, disrupting life for citizens and leaving more than two million consumers without power.

While we have never encountered a natural disaster of this magnitude during our past ten years in Odisha, we are doing our best to restore the system as soon as possible.

Our team consisting of more than 1,000 professionals are working relentlessly 24/7 to restore the power supply in three districts, namely Jagatsingpur, Dhenkanal and Kendrapada, where half a million of our customers reside. We have already managed to bring back 100% of the supply in Dhenkanal (pictured).

Among the worst affected districts is Kendrapara where we are proud to announce that 100% restoration work has been completed. In Jagatsighpur Urban Municipality area, the entire supply has also been restored.

In addition, under the directive from the government, we have restored critical services in three out of five block headquarters which are the nodal administrative control points for all government services.

We are confident that we can restore the remaining supply by the end of the week.
