Improving distribution to consumers

As well as helping generation and transmission customers deliver more efficient, reliable and safe supplies, Enzen can also support power companies in the third and final stage of electric power delivery: distribution.

Through our practice-based approach and in-depth industry knowledge, we can enhance the way electricity is transported from the transmission system to individual consumers. Our targeted solutions will improve customers' infrastructure by reducing energy loss, finding savings and increasing revenue.

Electricity distribution works through substations, which use transformers to lower the transmission voltage to between 2 kV and 35 kV.  Primary distribution lines carry this medium voltage power to distribution transformers located near the consumer's premises, which again lower the voltage so the power can be used in lighting, industrial equipment and household appliances. Sometimes, several consumers are supplied power through one transformer using secondary distribution lines.
